PITTSBURGH - Research by wellness and community organisation Mamavation in conjunction with the Carnegie Mellon University and North Carolina State University has found PFAS substances, commonly known as 'forever chemicals', in 23% of the disposable and cloth diapers it tested.

PFAS are per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances that have been used for many decades as stain-resistant, oil-resistant, grease-resistant, and water-resistant chemicals in commerce
