Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

WAYNE – TekniPlex Healthcare is now converting its DuPont Tyvek healthcare products in Europe to provide local sourcing and shorter lead times for medical device customers in the EMEA region.

The Philadelphia-headquartered company’s coated Tyvek solutions are utilised in form-fill-seal and die-cut applications and the expansion of converting capability will help expedite market access for existing customers and open avenues for increased market penetration overall.

Until now, TekniPlex Healthcare has had converting capability for Tyvek products solely in the United States and is now better placed to allocate local infrastructure and personnel expertise specifically to support EMEA-centric projects.

“The ability to convert Tyvek in the EMEA market provides us with a competitive edge and our customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the efficiencies of more localised supply,” said Bryan Wesselmann, the company’s VP of sales and marketing.

TekniPlex Healthcare develops and delivers critical solutions for medical and diagnostic devices, drug delivery systems and sterile barrier healthcare packaging applications. With a global reach, a deep understanding of the pharmaceuticals and medical landscape helps it produce exemplary barrier properties for drugs and precision medical devices for interventional and therapeutic procedures.

In the medical device niche, the company is able to service every stage of the product life cycle, from design and development through component manufacturing and final assembly. An ever-evolving portfolio helps meet demands for high-leverage medicines and mission-critical healthcare products that benefit care providers and patients.
