DRANSFELD - Cassel Inspection, the manufacturer of standard and customized inspection solutions, was at the recent INDEX exhibition with a range of contamination detection solutions for nonwovens fabrics.
The company offers a number of metal detection products and X-ray inspection solutions that are designed to specifically meet the unique needs of nonwoven material production lines.
At the show, Cassel presented its latest Metal Shark Combi Metal Detector while also conducting exclusive demonstrations of inspection solutions. “Our team is committed to helping nonwoven manufacturers deliver a finished product free of metal contaminants that could negatively affect quality and safety,” said Gianfranco Rubini, Commercial Leader for CASSEL Inspection. “We met INDEX 23 attendees to learn about their unique challenges and needs and share an in-depth look at our innovations that add protection to any stage of production, from incoming raw materials to finished stock.”
The Metal Shark Combi Metal Detector offers a multi-segment sensor for monitoring flat products like webs or plates, high sensitivity through 4-quadrant technology, customizable widths for most production lines, and the high speed detection of broken needles and other metal parts in nonwovens.
It is also equipped with intuitive controls, automatic balance, calibration control, and remote troubleshooting.
“Our Combi detector represents hours of careful design that incorporated one goal–to provide the most reliable detection of the smallest metal possible,” Rubini added. "We leaned on our experience developing proven solutions for food and pharmaceutical industries to create a metal detector that is now proven in nonwoven mill environments worldwide.”
