TOURCOING – French research centre CETI has just installed an FET 100 bicomponent melt spinning system supplied by the UK’s Fibre Extrusion Technology at its Polymer Business Unit.
With investments of over €12 million, the Polymer BU already houses three lines from Hills for tri-component melt spinning, bicomponent spundbond and bicomponent meltblown nonwovens production, in addition to lines from Coperion and Erema. Its focus is on driving innovation in the fibre and nonwovens industries and reducing the environmental impacts of textiles through the development of circular business models.
