Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

FORT MILL - Domtar has announced plans to indefinitely idle its pulp and paper operations at its Espanola facility in Ontario, Canada.

The decision, for an expected period that is likely to be greater than one year, will result in a curtailment of Domtar’s annual pulp production by approximately 280,000 air-dried metric tons of northern bleached softwood kraft pulp and approximately 69,000 tons of speciality paper. The announcement will affect approximately 450 employees.
