HELSINKI - Despite a drop in sales, a result of the closure of its Mozzate plant in Italy, nonwovens manufacturer Suominen has posted improved profitability for its third quarter.
Net sales, which were also impacted by a decline in raw material prices, decreased by 19% to €106.4 million, down from €131.9 in the same period last year whilst comparable EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) improved slightly to €5.2 million, up from €5.1 million.
