LENZING – Notable developments for Lenzing in 2020 included the introduction of the first Tencel branded CarbonNeutral cellulosic fibres and the establishment of the Renewable Carbon Initiative aimed at speeding up the transition from oil-based products.
The company also won the Austrian State Prize for Innovation for its Web Technology – a process combining fibre and nonwovens production in a single step and moving cellulosics into the spunmelt category while setting new standards in terms of efficiency, circularity and ecological sustainability.
