Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

CLERMONT-FERRAND - Carbios and recycling specialist Nouvelles Fibres Textiles have signed a memorandum of understanding in a bid to help scale the circularity of nonwovens.

Currently under construction, Carbios is building the world’s first PET biorecycling plant at Longlaville in the Grand-Est Region of France, which will use the company’s propriety depolymerisation technology for the processing of textile waste. Commissioning is expected in early 2025.
