DUBLIN – Between 2010 and 2024, some 27,337 patents concerning polypropylene (PP) – still the most widely employed fibre in the nonwovens industry, especially for spunmelt materials – have been filed, with over 18,000 of them registered by Chinese companies and institutes, according to a new report from Research and Markets.
