Environmental news and technical innovation in the nonwovens sector

HELSINKI - Suominen has added to its Fibrella range of spunlace nonwoven fabrics for the feminine hygiene market with the launch of Fibrella Combo.

Fibrella Combo is described as a dual product for excellent topsheet softness packed with superior fluid management of an acquisition and distribution layer (ADL) – all in one nonwoven. It’s designed to replace topsheet and ADL in the absorbent hygiene product and can be used directly on top of the core.

According to Suominen, this latest addition can enhance user comfort as it takes fluids into core between two and four times faster compared to spunbond topsheets and airlaid ADLs and is 40 per cent lighter.

It is also said to leave the user feel dry and comfortable – especially in incontinence and sanitary napkins and liners and offers faster distribution across the core.

Suominen’s products for absorbent hygiene products include Fibrella Move for ADLs, Fibrella Lite for elastic materials and new developments for top sheets.
